Fresenius Environment Technology Ltd. evolved out of the Fresenius Chemical Laboratory, which was founded in 1848 by Carl Remigius Fresenius. In its more than 150 year-long business history, Fresenius has become one of the leading business groups in Germany in the fields of chemical, biological, and physical analysis and consultancy services.
Increasing requirements in the environmental field lead already in 1989 to our own development of new technical solutions regarding sampling and in situ gas measurements within the environmental and residual waste fields of activity.
As a result of steadily increasing market demands, the independently operating Fresenius Environment Technology was, in 1992, separated out from the environment technology business sector.
